Clueless’ three main female characters – Cher Horowitz (Alicia Silverstone), Dionne Davenport (Stacey Dash) and Tai Frasier (Brittany Murphy) – have more depth, substance and intelligence than the vast majority of women seen in teen films, comedies and cinema in general.
